The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recognized worldwide for its innovative research that has led to various clinical and technological breakthroughs. Our faculty, scientists and researchers, who comprise the Otolaryngology Research Program, are continuously seeking newer and less invasive treatments for numerous conditions affecting the ear, nose and throat.
With more than 85 active studies, the breadth of the Otolaryngology Research Program has grown exponentially over the past decade. For patients struggling with a range of ENT conditions—from common allergy symptoms to challenging throat and oral cancers—Mount Sinai otolaryngologists and other specialists provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services in a number of areas.
The one-year fellowship offers one position each year with graduated independence under the direction of our Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team. Our fellowship is designed to provide comprehensive experience in the management of patients undergoing head and neck surgery for malignant and advanced benign disease.
Our one-year fellowship focuses on all aspects of medical and surgical laryngology practice, as well as some basic science and clinical research. Our four-year residency program consists of hospital rounds, seminars, and conferences supplemented by specific courses in surgical anatomy and oral and head and neck pathology. The fellowship program offers broad experience in all aspects of surgical management, ranging from in-office experience and treatment planning to advanced rhinology and skull base surgeries.

In , Dr. In , he resigned the position, dedicating all of his time to advancing the mission of OHNI and the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation for which he serves as President. Osborne has traveled throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe to observe and exchange ideas with other surgeons who have similar goals.
