Bonus game payouts vary depending on success, as well as the slot machine's speed during bonus games. At the end of a bonus game, the background automatically becomes red. This lets players "chain" together jackpots and bonus games; however, the bonus game difficulty increases up to a maximum with each chained jackpot.
The card flip minigame is exclusive to the Generation II games. When playing card flip, players place bets on cards that may be flipped over. Once twelve cards have been drawn, the deck is reshuffled. Bets can be placed on a single card, on a single column, on a single row, on a pair of columns, or on a pair of rows. The game features a five-by-five grid of tiles, underneath which are hidden numbers which multiply the player's score if located and Voltorb which cause the player to lose all points.
The player has a change to figure out where the Voltorb are located by using the clues provided: the number of coins and Voltorb in each line and column are noted at the sides of the playing field. Winning at this game, as before, will earn the player Coins , which can be traded for prizes.
In Generation I , the hidden Coins on the ground cannot be detected with the Itemfinder and will not respond at all if the player attempts to pick them up without having a Coin Case as opposed to telling the player that they need a Coin Case to receive the item.
In Generation VII , there are fixed spots on the floor where hidden items from the following list will appear. The item spots refill with new random items every day. More than one of each item can appear per day. The items are not fixed until they are picked up, so the item may be different after resetting. After the Grunt is defeated, the player will be able to push the button behind the poster that opens the entrance to the Team Rocket Hideout.
Here, the player can exchange coins for prizes. The prize corner being in a separate building is due to how pachinko parlours operate in Japan. In Japan, it is illegal to directly pay out cash for pachinko balls or tokens, but this regulation is often circumvented as legally independent exchange shops are set up nearby, where the players can redeem the prizes for cash.
Like in the games, the Game Corner was shown to house the entrance to Team Rocket 's hideout , opened by pressing a secret switch behind a poster. Red , disguised as a Team Rocket Grunt , infiltrated the hideout in order to find out about Green 's whereabouts.

Many of these powerful TMs will be familiar to those who played the original games on the Nintendo DS, but alongside many other changes seen in BDSP , locations of certain TMs and the manner in which they're acquired has been changed.
TMs are available throughout the Sinnoh region from certain shops, and can also be found in locations across the overworld. TMs may be gifted to a given player from various NPCs too, providing a decent range of ways for them to receive their benefits. Three of the most prized TMs among trainers are the fire-type Flamethrower, the electric-type Thunderbolt, and the ice-type Ice Beam. These moves can also be found outside of the Veilstone Department Store. Moves such as Reflect and Light Screen are also available, boosting an entire team's defense against physical and special moves respectively for five turns.
The absence of the Game Corner can be a boon to players who didn't enjoy putting in-game money and time into the slot machines but still wanted the rewards. Although it took losing the Game Corner to happen, the powerful TMs players want are available at more affordable prices, and multiple are available, as the shop won't run out of inventory.
The Game Corner contained four held items - The Metronome, which boosts the damage of moves used consecutively; the Zoom Lens, which boosts accuracy if the holder goes second in battle; the Wide Lens, which provides a flat accuracy bonus; and the Silk Scarf, which boosts Normal-type move damage. These items are also all found through Veilstone City. The Metronome is gifted from a Psychic by the meteorites on the east side of town.
The Silk Scarf can be found to the far right of the stairs leading to the Galactic Building. A Zoom Lens can be found by speaking to a Stunky after talking to the trainers around it, and the Wide Lens is received by talking to the girl by Stunky after receiving the Zoom Lens. Although these methods are more convenient for many, eliminating the need to pay six figures of in-game currency or spend a great deal of time with a minigame to earn items, there are some drawbacks.
