I was concerned because it hadn't renewed and then found out that it would renew at the end of the 30 days. The last day of my subscription was yesterday. I read then that it sometimes takes a day or two for the payment to process so i waited. This morning i was charged for the renewal, but my subscription is still saying that i need to renew. Now when i hit the Renew Now button it takes me to the same site that i originally renewed from and now it is saying that my subscription has days remaining.
But when i log in to my web console and go to Manage Keycodes it says that my keycode is still expired. The program is still not letting me use any features, saying that it is expired and is incessantly reminding me so.
I was wondering what is going on with it and if it is going to be easily fixed. Thank you for hearing me out and hopefully being able to help me.

We have a special process for Best Buy purchases - they handle all of the customer service for those purchases, so I can't adjust anything in the system. Your best bet is to call BestBuy and talk with their folks, as the renew page would have gone to a system they manage.
They'll be able to find out what is going on. Please let me know if that is able to get your issue resolved! Like Quote. Welcome to the community KeatonNS! I see Nic has answered your question. Best Buy will be able to instruct you on how to correct the issue. Best Buy charges your card on file on on the renewal due date. Sometimes, on that day of renewal, this can happen, however it generally is resolved within a few hours.
My personal opinion is that it is due to the lag time between processing your payment and updating subscriptions. Please do come back and let us know your status. If you need any additional assistance with this or anything else, please feel free to ask! Browse around, post your experiences and enjoy the community! Thank you both for the responses, as you suggested that it could be time lag, i will wait a while longer and then call. You are very welcome! Please do let us know if you have everything up and running.
Did you call Geek Squad regarding the issue? Looking forward to seeing you here in the community! I did call Geek Squad, and i was told that even after the payment goes through it can take up to 48 hours for the software to update. And it did go through after just a few hours. Thank you for your help.
Thanks for letting us know! Nice to hear confirmation that I was correct about the lag time with renewing the Best Buy subscription. Whatever scan we chose was speedy in the extreme.
The Quick Scan lived up to its name, completing in seconds; the intensive Deep Scan took two minutes 15 seconds, and the rest were somewhere in between. Detection rates were good, with the program picking up all our sample threats. It even blocked one of our test apps, a tool we use to run various exploits: no other antivirus has picked up on its potential dangers, before we could even launch it.
But Webroot had an unusually high number of false positives, too. We use the excellent PCMark Professional to measure any performance impact of an antivirus, for example. But Webroot flagged an entirely innocent PCMark component as a threat, apparently just because it's written in Autoit a scripting language sometimes used by malware.
That's also something we've not seen from any other antivirus. URL filtering combines Webroot's vast database of malicious websites with real-time anti-phishing to keep you safe from harm. And this did a solid job for us, regularly blocking malicious sites which Chrome and Windows missed. Unfortunately, Webroot was only able to protect us in browsers where its web extension was installed Edge, Chrome, Firefox on our test system. We were able to access URLs from other apps without any difficulty.
The program offers what Webroot calls a firewall, but it doesn't have any of the configurability we see with Norton, Bitdefender or other firewalls.
Instead, SecureAnywhere AntiVirus does most of the hard work, looking out for new and untrusted processes connecting to the internet, warning you about new connections made by untrusted applications and asking you to approve or deny them. Experts won't be impressed by the lack of control, but otherwise this is a welcome and unusual addition to any antivirus package.
Elsewhere, a background Identity Shield hardens browser sessions to protect you from keyloggers, screen grabber attacks, clipboard snooping and other attempts to steal your data. To test this, we ran a simple freeware keylogger while browsing with Chrome. When Identity Shield was off, the keylogger could record URLs, usernames, passwords and anything else we typed. I'm just being paranoid lately because I know the product is do to expire soon and I'd rather not see the red X again.

As you provided the credit card information last night, it would have been too late to be on last night's renewal batch. It will bill your card tonight and renew at that time.
Even though it has not actually renewed, and your software is showing you that it is expired or at risk, you are still fully protected. There is a 30 day grace period built in that will keep your computer fully protected until that renewal does actually process. WSA will continue to update and protect you, even though it shows that it is expired. Like Quote. Hello Kev and welcome to the Webroot Community! I am very familiar with the Best Buy program, and how the billing works.
If your subscription is due to renew on April 20th for example, the current expiration date would show as April 19th.
That is completely normal. Best Buy does not charge until the very end of the current period. If you notice that it shows expired, just check your credit card account to see if the funds have been approved.
Since all billing is done in one daily batch, there is sometimes a delay between the time your card was charged, and the time that Webroot received the renewal information, and the time that your own computer received it. You WILL be protected, even if the software shows expired for a few hours.
Best Buy provides a 30 day grace period in which the software may show expired, but it is actually fully functional. This is done in the event that a credit card is declined to make sure the user has enough time to call in which a different card number without any loss of protection. You will be perfectly safe in using the computer.
